Just call me Julia Child...

{Cheers to the best wedding shower ever with a glass of the tastiest citrus sangria I've ever had}

Saturday my lovely Matron of Honor and her Mom threw me a shower that was right up my alley: a trip to cooking school. If you're any resemblance of a foodie I highly suggest making a detour to Southern Season in Chapel Hill if you are ever passing through the area ... it's a mecca of food, wine, & all things yummy.

{"Kitchen Stadium" was all set up for us!}

{The centerpieces featured all sorts of handy kitchen gadgets}

{Mom in the mirror rolling out empanada dough}

{Molten Lava Cake ... no words needed for this one other than divine}

{Trying my hand a something tasty!}

{Beef Empanadas}

{The makings of Vietnamese spring rolls}

{Voila! My attempt is on the right, the teacher's is on the left. Can you tell a difference?}

{Have you ever made home-made cheese before? Neither had I ... it was actually quite easy and very tasty!}

{Roasted heirloom tomatoes}

{Homemade cheese on top of roasted tomatoes with fresh basil = best summer meal ever}

Now that my stomach is rumbling I think it's time for breakfast ...

++++++++++++++++
In other news ... THE INVITATIONS ARE OUT, THE INVITATIONS ARE OUT!

That is all.

Cool shower idea!!

Congrats on getting the invites out! I felt like everything was just coasting right along once we got the invites out. My anxiety levels dropped to about zero about all things wedding related once they were safely out the door!
