Found: vocabulary list circa 1998

While cleaning out my old desk, I ran across (stuck in the back) a vocabulary list that had been emailed to me from my best friend circa 1998.

One of my very favorite words just happens to be on this list: Thwart.

A few other choice words: mitigate, morose, peruse, pugnacious, querulous, redundant, and succinct.

Ahh vocabulary lists. While they thwarted me back in the day, they keep my blog posts far from succinct now!

I was so BAD at vocab lists. Probably why my word range is limited to words like wow, amazing and fabulous.

We are *huge* fans of vocabulary lists, it's just that we can never remember the words!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!

I just found your blog and I love it! Did you design your header yourself? It's adorable! I have a spotty dog, too :)

When I was younger, my favorite word was lolled...as in, "his head lolled to the side as he slept. Sad, but true. :)

Two of my favorite words are rotund and plethora. When I was living in Poland and finishing up my Master's, two friends wanted me to work both words into my thesis. I put them in and it was hilarious the way I used them :)
