Oh the places you'll go...

Have you ever visited a place where you instantly fell in love? This happened to me last year on our honeymoon to wine country. {You can read my recaps from the first trip here, here, & here.} My husband and I loved exploring and finding many a off the beaten path places, really making the trip our own. When we returned, we immediately knew that we wanted to return soon and knew that a particular couple would be great travel companions. So the 2nd trip was born.

We spent a lovely extra-long weekend, centered on our adorable Sonoma cottage named Tres Sorelle. We visited some fabulous wineries, big and small, and ate some fabulous farm-fresh food. All in all it was the exact trip we were hoping for. We were lucky enough that one of our traveling companions happens to be a professional photographer and her photos are AMAZING and her recap inspired. You should most definitely go visit her at Laura Simson Photography and take a peek through her eyes of our trip!

3,000 Miles

We popped over to the other coast for a quick mid-winter break. I have a bit of catching up to do, and a handful of 2-a-days to complete, to get back to normal. Can't wait to share the details with you!

Mini Moon!

Sunday after our wedding, the badger & I headed off to the beautiful NC mountains to celebrate our mini moon. We decided to postpone our honeymoon trip to Napa Valley until after Christmas. We enjoyed some crisp fall days, tasty food, a lot of rest, and a few nice hikes!


The badger decided we should hike to see a waterfall. I wasn't feeling 100% so we decided to do one on the "easier" side. Too bad we accidentally hiked the lower falls (grade 8) instead of the upper falls (grade 2).

Pete's 4 legs took those hills like a champ. He enjoyed the cool water at the bottom!

The falls views were worth the pain!

The Badger & I have started our planning our honeymoon to Northern California and decided we'd snap up any hotel/airfare/restaurant deals that may come our way. I eagerly awaited the Jetsetter sale of rooms at the Clift San Francisco, only to find that I'm too early on my booking! Better luck next time.
