It's alive!

There are a few things in the world of blogging and pinterest that I find a little odd. We see SO MANY wonderful DIY ideas and projects to try yet we never see the way after. How is that project holding up 6 months later? If you've been reading for a while, you remember where I crafted a succulent wreath. I have never admitted to having a green thumb so I was pretty excited with my creation. Fast forward seasons and 4 months. Have I managed to keep my succulent wreath alive? It's alive, it's alive!

It's grown and changed and it still makes me incredibly happy when I walk in my front door. I've learned that succulents are pretty resilient little plants. The newspaper man & hubs have knocked off some of it's leaves and with a little sunshine, TLC, & root hormone, THE MISTAKES CREATE NEW PLANTS! Yes, you read that right, they regenerate. See these little flowers to the left? I trimmed them off of the plant to the right and they are thriving. Have any of you tried your hand at succulent gardening? If you have been inspired from my post, I'd love to see a photo!

I've never thought of making a succulent wreath and since I don't have a green thumb, maybe I could keep one alive too! Thanks for the tip!

I have never thought of a succulent wreath! That is neat. I know Martha Stewart is obsessed with her succulents so it is neat to see them in this more realistic light.
