When writing art history papers in college I loved to use this word. Juxtaposition of color, of light, etc. etc. etc. It quickly was added to my list of favorite words {though second to TERROR-STRICKEN, my favorite spelling word of all time.} And it's pretty perfect to describe my previous weekends activities.

It started with a can of the ever elusive cherry sundrop on the way to .... |

The All-Star race! I got to see "my driver" Carl... |

NC is the heart of NASCAR and I'm a little surprised it took me nearly 29 years to attend a race. Hubby was a fan and knew exactly what seats to buy and what race for me to attend as to not be overwhelmed. I was super skeptical Saturday morning and despite being exhausted by the end, it was a very good time. Not my typical scene, but definitely entertaining!

Sunday was more my scene. Birthday celebration for our
favorite wine shop. Wine pairings and food truck
vino burgers. Nom nom nom.
Add this weekend to reason 1,458,683 why I love the state of NC. We have a little bit of everything. After all, variety is the spice of life!
