Sandals, a skort for hiking, a light jacket for cool evenings, some fantastic Sonoma wine for enjoying on the deck. All these things were packed in my bag for a long spring weekend in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains.
Change of plans.

It's been snowing for 12 hours and the wind whips like my kitchaid mixter. Snowing....in late April. I've had on my ac at home since March! Ill prepared but making the most of it we've gone on a drive and enjoyed an indoor fire and my all time favorite, s'mores.

I'm sipping a vanilla latte in a cozy and dog friendly coffee shop while I may or may not be wearing a ridiculously mismatched assortment of layered clothing.

The unexpected is sometimes exactly what the doctor ordered.

Yum, now I am dying for some s'mores!! They have the ingredients on sale at my grocery store this week...I may be making an emergency trip tonight :)

It's been a crazy weather pattern lately. We woke to temps in the 50's here in FL. I don't mind the cooler weather and would love to be sitting by a warm fire making s'mores.
