I live in the South. In the south in the summer we have water-bugs, cockroaches, wood-bugs, (insert your name here). I have a great exterminator and in 5 years of living in my condo I've seen a grand total of 3.
#3 appeared while I was blow drying my hair one morning. I freaked, as I usually do, and ran to grab a shoe. The sucker was bound and determined to thwart me and my shoe-weapon and ran places the shoe would not work. What's a girl to do?

Not just any hair mousse, max hold hair mousse. They say roaches can survive nuclear bombs but mousse did the trick. (The glass was just an extra insurance policy.)
I'm pretty sure my fiance's co-workers think I'm an idiot after that phone call.

I don't think that's a blonde moment - that's quick thinking! I've used hairspray to kill bugs before. :) Just whatever you do, NEVER spray the big ones with anything - they freak out and they FLY. *shudder*
I agree with Miss M! I too, have used hairspray as my bug killer of choice. It just always seems to be on hand at exactly the right moment. Had I been there in your shoes, I probably would have reached for the mousse as well.
hey, whatever you gotta do to kill those pesky bugs. i'm still battling a wasp nest on my deck. i keep sprayin and they keep coming back. maybe mousse will do the trick. take care.

I went through this the other night...the biggest moth I have ever seen was in the bedroom...hubby was at work, of course...so I tossed a heavy book on it and Febreezed it to death!
Ah! I found one crawling across the top of my bed one night. I killed it and slept with the light on.
I've definitely used an array of household products to kill bugs because I couldn't grab the Raid in time.

Ewww, I hate those things!!! I'll kill spiders and whatever else comes my way, but I absolutely can't stand those bugs. The worst thing about living in the South when it's incredibly hot outside - it doesn't matter how clean your house is, they always want to find a cooler place. Next time I come across one I'll have to try out my hair products on it- fast thinking!
