Creeping closer to 30 I realize from time to time "I'm not as young as I used to be." While I don't really drink enough to get traditional hangovers anymore, I am suffering from a major food hangover.
I consider myself to be a pretty healthy eater in general. I try to balance my love of carbs with fruit and veggies every day. I have pretty much given up caffeine, aside from a Coca-Cola Classic every now and again. I exercise daily. I enjoy wine and beer in moderation.
I imagine my less than stellar college diet (ahem pokey sticks at 2 am) had my system fooled into thinking that eating large amounts of cheese related products (queso, mozzarella sticks) past midnight was a great idea. Nosomuchanymore.
My healthy grilled chicken dinner with M&J Friday night followed by a few beers al fresco to enjoy lead to an "I'm hungry" comment about 11pm. Enter round 1 of mozzarella sticks and a (late for me) bedtime of about midnight.
After a full afternoon of tailgating for the Wolfpack Saturday and enjoying BBQ, Fried Chicken, and Mac & Cheese from the always fabulous The Pit restaurant, a friend suggested (guilted me) we go out for a after the game. As 11pm struck on the clock the "I ate dinner at 4pm and am ready for a snack" feeling fell upon us and before I returned from a restroom break an order of mozzarella sticks had descended upon the table. Twice in 1 weekend. Ooof.
My system is in fried cheese shock. Thank goodness for fruit veggies, and nice long walks with the spotted one!

It always takes me a few days to detox from a weekend of heavy eating! I cant even eat deep fried foods anymore without some sort of stomach upset :O(
HAHAHA! I've been there!!!!
I used to order mozzarella sticks as a meal! Gosh they were so good :)
A new place just opened up down the street from me with the most delicious mozzarella sticks! So tempting!
