Odds and Ends

I'm alive, I promise. Recently I've had to put a lot of thought and prayer into career decisions. In the midst of my contemplation I learned that several of the large pieces from my booth sold! This just clarified that this is what I am supposed to be doing at this point in my life. I am 110% committed to getting my booth and Interior Design consulting business off the ground and I couldn't be more excited! I've been diligently working on several new and exciting pieces. Be sure to check out my other blog in the next few days to see the fruits of my labors! (that is, if the humidity level will drop enough for the paint to cure.)

In addition to working hard on my business, I helped the badger with his BBQ venture last weekend at the Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ festival. While it was hot and tiring work, it was well worth it as we had glowing reviews of the 'que and even sold out!

Add in my weekly nanny gig and starting my Junior League placement, and my life has been a whirlwind! I promise to be back to a regular schedule as soon as I return from a beach trip with the badger's family. (fingers crossed hurricane bill leaves us alone and doesn't make the water too rough for some quality boat time!)
Pete and his cousin Jack are looking forward to being salty dogs!
