In just a few days...

This:will look like this:
The fairgrounds were a flurry of activity today in preparations for the NC State Fair 2008! While I am not a fan of the loop di loops & tilt-o-wheels, I do love watching the lumberjacks, finding the "best" country ham biscuit, milking a cow, and seeing NC's largest produce! What is your favorite thing at the fair?

In other news... look at the beautiful roses from the badger's backyard! Personally delivered (in a water bottle) this evening :)

I love everything about the fair! But I don't ride the rides ... I just watch and eat!!!

My favorite fair is the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan.. and the best parts are, of course, THE BEST cherry pies and preserves.. and the dog competitions like the stick fetch long jump.

Have fun at your fair!

I love it all, especially the food!!! I think I will try to steer clear of the animal shows this year as I nearly bought a sheep last year when I scratched my face... OOPS! I'm going to see Jason Aldean on Friday :)

I must be hungry...when I saw the picture of the fair my mind immediately went to fair food. The Coastal Carolina Fair begins here toward the end of the month. Rides won't woo me but the food surely will.
