will blog for Christmas cards.

it's no secret that i love mail. i love sending mail, i love receiving mail (of the non bill variety). reason why i love mail? cards, stationary, and paper, oh my!

i think there is an art to selecting the perfect birthday card or writing just the right note. one of the things i enjoyed most about my wedding planning was designing the invitations. i've actually not complained once about writing hundreds of thank you notes from our wedding festivities!

things i dont love about mail: postage. almost a pack of pop-rocks to mail a letter? argh. having spent a pretty penny this year on postage already i thought about doing an e-Christmas card to save the dough. my lovely husband, knowing how much i enjoy selecting, addressing, and mailing the cards, made a thought provoking comment when i was lamenting the lack of holiday mail cheer coming from our mailbox to yours ... "why don't you just go win some Christmas cards in blog-o-log land?"

Label Me.

Being in the thank you note stage of the wedding process I've come to decide that I need some new address labels. While one of these rubber beauties may be on my wish list, printed labels are the more budget friendly option for the newlyweds. Does anyone have any experience with Vistaprint's labels? I found these cute options for next to nothing ($1.50 for 165). Any source suggestions to label my letters with our new last name?

Pretty Paper thanks to the USPS

Thanks to the return of an invite by the USPS I can now share with you our wedding paper suite!

I was beyond thrilled with how our letterpress invitations turned out! (Please disregard the green privacy blocks!) Mom and I went directly to the engraver and designed the pieces, wording, & layout. I've loved hearing peoples reaction & receiving the responses, just about a month to go!

$60 for a 10-card set seems a bit steep to me for a note cards at this juncture, but I did write 25 thank you notes this past week! I think I'll stick to my tried-and-true (and still lovely) note cards from Reaves Engraving. (It's a great NC secret, try them out! Their prices are amazing!)
