Surprise, Surprise!

The Badger uttered the greatest words a girl can hear while window shopping the adorable boutiques along Main Street Blowing Rock, "you can pick out a present this weekend from the BBQ team. We decided we wanted to thank you for all your hard work and help."

After a day of deliberation I decided on this lovely:

A peacock blue Bucket Bag to jazz up any fall outfit.

The inside features many zippered pockets and a lovely floral pattern. My new fall every day essential!

Labor-less Weekend

The Badger, Peter-dog, and myself said goodbye to Summer 2009 and enjoyed a relaxing weekend in the high country. With temperatures maxing out at 75 degrees each day, we excitedly spent most of our time outdoors.
While exploring we came across this trout stream.

The Badger decided it was the perfect place to do a little fly fishing. I had never been fly fishing before and really enjoyed myself. I'm looking forward to many more trips!

Pete enjoyed himself a little too much. In Pete's mind Mom and Dad climbing around on rocks in a stream means one thing: SWIMMING! Spotty dogs and trout do not mix so he had to spend some quality time hooked to a stump. Judging by his face, this didn't phase him much!
