...on basil. It happens every summer. I want it on salad, on pizza, on fresh tomatoes, and even on corn. I snagged a bunch at the farmers market last week and enjoyed the smell while it hung out on my kitchen counter waiting for it's time to shine as a star of my next dish!
Favorite use in recent memory? Homemade pizza. I made up a batch of PW's easy-as-pie pizza dough for starters, then went all pizza-italiano from there on out with Nello's sauce, fresh mozzarella, & basil (duh.) Simply Ah-may-zing. Do it, I dare you.
