The badger and I seized this lovely under 90 degree day and hit the back-roads headed East to pick up our wedding rings (2 months to go!)

{We saw seas of tobacco fields}

{Found a great historic mill that recently underwent renovations}

{Nothing like a rocking chair with a cool breeze off the river}

{I spy my boys}
{Have I mentioned before how beautiful I find old brick?}

{Pete hearts to roll in soft grass}

{The
first railroad in NC!}
{Have I mentioned I'm a state history nerd? I'm pretty excited about the historical marker data-base I just discovered too ... now you can go back and check out the markers you fly past on the highway!}

{Beautiful tile roof at an old gas station}

{Lots and lots of tobacco}

{Mooo}

{Seas of soybeans too}

{A pretty university's main building despite the raindrops}

{A Gingerman house! If you look reallly closely you'll spot the cut-out men on the front porch}

{Stately Southern homes with more beautiful brick & leaded glass windows (another favorite of mine)}

{Pete makes a great day-tripper}
