This morning whilest I was packing my lunch & dinner bag (yes you upgrade to a full bag when you eat both meals at work) I grabbed a packet of Top Ramen from the back of the pantry to go along with my bib lettuce & fruit salads. I guess sub-consciously I knew I'd need some comfort food come dinner time.
{Ramen Flavor of Choice: Oriental}
{Ghetto picture of a picture, yes I went there.
Stupid cell phone photo up-loader wasn't agreeing}
I appreciate the support and prayers I've received in response to my post on the badger's mom. I went with him at the end of last week and said my piece and felt better to know she heard everything I've been thinking for years.
Things continue to go down-hill. I keep thinking that "rock bottom" has been hit and the situation keeps seeming to plummet deeper. I am quite thankful that his youngest brother arrived to help and the other is on the way.
The badger and I have decided that unless a miracle occurs over the next 60 days she is not welcome at our wedding. The hardest part will be explaining our decision to his grandmother.
In addition to the tough times we've been facing on the badger's side of the isle my family had to say goodbye today to a pet that's been in the family for 15 years. Ollie the great big fluff ball of a standard poodle went to heaven to perpetually chase tennis balls in the sky. He was the most stubborn dog I've ever met but he surely was a great one.
Funny how your subconscious tells you what you're going to need come the end of the day isn't it?
Here's to happy memories of an old furry friend, comfort food, the little things that brighten your day (I found the perfect sheer shade of polish to complement my skintone yesterday in "Catch the Garter" pictured below), and your friends (and bloggy friends too!) and family that are there for you, no matter what.
I raise my ramen fork to you!
{I can't believe I found the exact picture I was googling. Things are looking up!}

I have enjoyed reading your blog, and just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear all the trouble you have been going through with your family. I have dealt with addiction with my ex-husband (slightly different, but yet somewhat the same), and it is so hard to deal with. It's great though that you and your fiance are staying strong and getting through this together. Hopefully everything will get some what better and you will be able to enjoy your upcoming wedding day without any family stress.
So sorry things have been so tough for you and Badger's family.
On a happy note, your nails and ring look super pretty!
Sorry to hear that things aren't going that great. Hope they get better. I do have to say that Oriental flavor Ramen noodles is one of my comfort foods of choice!
Hang in there! If the two of you can withstand something as stressful as this before getting married, imagine what you can face when you are married? Alcoholism is terrible for everyone involved. The two of you seem to be standing strong together and supporting each other, which is so important. Good luck!
PS. Your nails look great. . . it's the little things!
I am heartbroken for you and will continue to keep you two and your families in my thoughts and prayers. one day and one step at a time, k, hunny!

I am sorry for the tough things going on for you. I hope things will get better soon.
On another note, your nail polish and ring look beautiful!
