Wedding Whelm.

Being a creative person who embraces color, I'd have to say that pinning down a wedding scheme has been quite difficult for me. I've run the gamut from liking traditional fall colors of reds, oranges, and browns, to a fresh apple green and brown with accents of fuchsia, orange, & gold. Decisions are needing to be made therefore I need to pin down my inspiration. What I need is an inspiration board in the style of Style Me Pretty, The Southern Weddings Blog, Snippet & Ink, and Elizabeth Anne Designs. Here are a couple I've been saving off the interwebs for the past few months.

Anyone else have any grand ideas or inspiration boards for me?

Also: Does anyone know of a free (or inexpensive) program to do basic layout's other than photoshop? I'm thinking I may want to do the save the dates myself but don't have illustrator or photoshop. Thanks!

I was back and forth over color schemes when I was planning. I found it was really much easier to narrow it down once I had decided on my reception site. Once that was decided, eggplant and gold seemed the obvious option. I didn't even look at any bridesmaid dresses until my dress was purchased. Your dress really sets the tone for the whole thing!

Good luck!

My sis is also having a fall wedding (September). I love the idea of apple green and brown. That would be gorgeous! Good luck!

Pretty! It looks very similar to stuff that I used as inspiration. I agree that it does help to start making some decisions (formality, reception location, etc.) and that will help narrow down the feel and look you want.

I like the apple green or a gold color for fall. What fun!

I absolutely love a natural green and brown color scheme. A really pretty wedding favor that might suit your color scheme well is the “The Perfect Pair” Pear Soap. It's a great shade of green with lovely brown flecks in it. It also comes in an elegant gift box.

I think that you have a great start! Planning is so much fun, isnt' it? Good luck!

I love the idea of apple green, fuschia, gold... You know pink is one of your colors! Let me know what I can create for you when you decide on colors. Also... I have photoshop elements which for what you probably want to do would work. If you have wireless connection we can get together and you can design on my computer. Just let me know.

If only I could be of help...alas, I am the worst! I always have to go look at other wedding sites when friends ask questions. (Or I just send them directly there.)

Hope you had a good market!
