The very first blog I ever stumbled across was Magnolias, Marriage, and Manhattan. I loved reading the life and times of MMM, a 'bama belle planning a wedding, selling a house, and trying to teach her preppy pup to tee-tee on the concrete in anticipation of her NYC move. Now a year and a half later, she is no longer Miss. MMM but Mrs. MMM with a fabulous hubby and baby J.
I clicked around on her favorite reads to find Preppy Wedding, Tres Poshe Preppy, Le Petite Blog, and Grosgrain Garage. Just like that, I had my own "daily reads." After several months of lurking, I decided I wanted to join the not-so-little blogging community. I started commenting and reading more and Barefoot in the Park was born. I wanted to thank each and every reader out there for their eyes and time. I think blog-land is a pretty great place to share your thoughts, get some new ideas, and have a little virtual support. Brava Blogland!
So, who inspired you to start your blogs?

Kappa Prep. I found her blog when I was searching for information about the (at the time) upcoming Lilly Pulitzer perfumes and got hooked instantly. I love to write so after reading it for a while, I decided to give blogging a try and am so glad I did.
I just started mine on my own.. but then my first follower was the Polka Dotted owl!! xxooo
I'd say I was originally inspired by unclutterer.com, but in reality there are so many blogs that I happened upon (including yours) that really got me thinking about doing it!
Blue Eyed Bride...
Her husband is my husband's friend...and I found her blog from facebook. I lurked for a LONG time before even telling her I was reading. Then she suggested I start my own....
After a few weeks of deciding....Lucky in Love was born!
I was inspired by whom many of us bloggers from way back consider to be the Original Preppy Blog: Preppy Cafe.
Thanks for the mention :)
tresposhepreppy all the way and the long-gone startingoutpreppy- miss her!

Awwww, I am so happy that you still love reading. I always appreciate your comments and love reading your blog too!
I started mine on my own, after going thru so many emotional events, and needing an outlet for my thoughts. But my first reader/commenter was Meg @ Faith&Gasoline!
I love this post - and I love reading Mrs. MMM's blog too!!
All things G&D was my first favorite and from there it snowballed! I love reading everyones blogs!! It's seriously one of my most favorite activities!! :)
I, too, was inspired by Blue Eyed Bride. Erin is an IRL friend, and I would always read her blog to catch up, and then click around to some of the others she listed on hers. Finally, one day, I decided I'd start my own!
jessica lynn from Tying the Knot
Preppy Wedding! I googled "preppy wedding" while doing some weddingplanning for myself and I found the blog. Through her, I found Adventures of a Southern Newlywed, started reading everyday and the rest is history!
The Preppy Cafe was the first one I ever read and then it turned into reading her real blog and just grew from there.
Canadian Preppy was the first I read :)
MMM, Grosgrain Garage, Preppy Cafe and Schoolbooks & Shoes.
Oh that is a great question! Mine: the Lilly blog (blog.lillypulitzer.com) because if LP had one, I wanted one too! Xoxo-BLC
i love your blog!!! its sooo cute i'm a new follower!! :))) and i started mine through, Kelly's Korner. I'm sure she has had a lot of influence on everyone, she is amazing!! :)
Without a doubt, Preppy Cafe. I started reading it in the spring of 2007 and started my blog that fall.
I love this post!! I started reading blogs last March. Tres Poshe, MMM, Tickled Pink and Green were all my very frist reads. They all had a such great advice and a wonderful outlook that inspired me! Thanks to Prep in the Big Apple who mentioned me, I am so honored!
I started reading the same blogs you did - The Preppy Wedding and MMM. I googled Preppy Wedding when planning my wedding and the rest is history!
I hope your job interview went well!
