Sunday Bounty

Hydroponic bib lettuce, spring peas, sugar snap peas, a tomato, & butternut squash from the North Carolina Farmer's Market; "Bound South," my new read courtesy of the public library; a cup of lemonade from a child's lemonade stand (personal rule: never ever pass a child's lemonade stand without stopping!)... all make for a fabulous Sunday!

The garden is coming along nicely! The Badger and I weeded and watered today. (He caught me in the above photo watering the peppers.) Blooms are starting to show on the tomatoes, zucchini, and peppers!Pete loves gardening time, known in Pete's world as hunt chipmunks and chew on sticks time!

Darcy would love to join Pete in his gardening time -- but she'd bring squirrel-chasing and pine cone-chewing into the mix.

Wow! You look great gardening. I'm a big old mess, but then I don't have a neat little garden like yours. I'm still raking leaves and dead growth from last year.
I swear you would think you're in the jungle in parts of our yard.
Pete is adorable!
