Green Beans & Potatoes

I have been called to service to help the badger's catering and competition BBQ team with pulling together their side dish recipes. I am looking for a great green bean recipe (no casseroles please!) I'd also like to find yummy recipe for some type of boiled potatoes.

Anyone have one they'd like to share?

I got nothing but I'd be curious to see what other people post!

lady- I've got one that combines both- it's pretty piecemeal, lightly steam some greenies (they should still be crisp), boil some quartered red-skinned potatoes, combine w/ feta, chives and whatever other veggie that looks delicious, toss w/ either a homemade or store-bought citrusy vineagrette and serve. sooo good- especially with grape tomatoes once they're in season! guys actually like this dish, so you know it's good, plus it's not fat-laden!

Greens beans sauteed in olive oil, salt and pepper, lime zest. Add lime juice at the end.

I love boiled potatoes but I just season with salt and pepper-I think they are great just like that. Have fun! xoxo

Still the best green beans and the old fashioned cooked/fried in bacon! Directions...pre steam the beans. Fry up some bacon and removed the cooked bacon. Cook beans in bacon grease and add the bacon back in the skillet.

Everything is always better cooked in bacon! :)

I love green beans the southern way. Pressure cooked, then add some oil and beef broth and plenty of salt. (a little sugar doesn't hurt either) Delicious!!

Like Stereos and Souffles- only add lemon juice instead of lime. Or both maybe. So good.

Broil or grill the beans in olive oil and Herbes de Provence, the yummiest seasoning ever! Boil your potatoes then mix with cream & sauteed garlic - super yum as well. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

The best green beans I have ever tasted were made by Paula Deen's recipe out of Paula Deen & Friends Cookbook. Green Beans with New Potatoes!!!!
