Happiness is ...
- ... the real-deal paella we fixed for dinner Friday night with friends. Thrifty tip of the day: saffron threads can be purchased at Trader Joe's for $6 (as opposed to $19 at the grocery!)
- ... that a weekend of bright sunshine brought lots of growth to the herb sprouts
- ... Cadbury Mini Eggs in a family heirloom gravy boat.
- ... the homemade french baguette I made last night (camera isn't working at the moment so no photos). I want to perfect the baguette before summer to be able to create my favorite snack: a homegrown tomato, fresh basil, & mozzarella toasted on a baguette with balsamic vinegar
- ... a picnic lunch date at the lake with the badger and pup!

Is a baguette hard to make at home? I would love to learn how to make some!
Can you believe I live in Albany, GA and I have tried that. My brother is stationed in Goldsboro and my sister moved up there. Thats one of his favorite resturaunts along with McCauls (Sp?).
