Coupon Queen
Who doesn't love a grocery store that helps you spend less? My beloved Harris Teeter graces us recessionistas daily with "double coupons" and every so often with "triple coupons." What does this mean you might ask? If you are a Sunday Clipper as I am, you can get deals like a box of Puffs tissues for oh, say, $0.10, Crest toothpaste for $0.25, and a tub of Country Crock for $0.15. Yes my friends, I did a little happy dance at the check out counter last night. I saved $31.12. (No I didn't even have to spend alot to save alot...My total bill rang up to $35)
What do you have to do to start saving? Pick up a Sunday paper, sign up for your local grocery store's free frequent shopper card, and start saving! Harris Teeter even allows you to sign up for a weekly email of deals. It tracks what you typically buy and emails you every Wednesday morning out about your personal best deals for the week. Mine last week? My FAVORITE black bean and white corn salsa was on secret e-Vic special for $3.00 off. What did I pay for said salsa? $0.99.
Happy Bargining!

Oh my gosh, I totally saw her on tv once! She's like, amazingly thrifty or something and saved like $200 on a shopping spree on this show...it was pretty impressive! Thanks for the link!
Sorry, I didn't post the woman's name - Crissy Thompson or something? I was too excited apparently. Sheesh.
im a coupon clipper too, i even have a binder for them!
I used to clip coupons like it was my job! My downfall was buying stuff that I didn't really need or use, just because it was a good deal. I want to get back into it, but I need to work on my impulse control :P
AW, I love Harris Teeter. I used to go there in College. They don't have them in NY!
I'm on that e-mail list for Harris Teeter too. Sometimes it's a little scary to see what they put in your personal list of deals. One week, my list included wine, Michelob Ultra, Excedrin Migraine, frozen pizza, ice cream, and feminine products! What a combination!
If you clip coupons regularly and want to save check out thegrocerygame.com It is AMAZING and if you follow the rules it is very simple. You can sign up for a 4 week trial for $1 totally worth it! If you do decide to try it, please include my referral kahluasmom@hotmail.com (thanks)
Happy shopping!
