Sweet Treats.

While in Greensboro this past weekend for a wedding the badger's little sister received a quite creative (and delicious) invite to the homecoming dance. I wish I'd taken a photo but I didn't have blogger brain! He had written on top of a cake "homecoming?" I'm so glad we got to reap the rewards! If you live in the Greensboro, NC area I highly suggest trying out Delicious!
We had chocolate cake with Oreo frosting covered in a ganache glaze. My mouth is watering just thinking of it!

Since I don't have that particular sweet treat handy, I'm treating myself to a little Bryers Double Churned Cookies and Cream ice cream (superb for having 1/2 the fat & calories!) in my favorite mug! A mug for ice-cream, you might ask? I "earned" my mug from Dolly's Dairy Bar while I was a camp counselor one summer in college. Situated on the edge of the Pisgah National Forrest, Dolly's serves their scoops in mugs so you can sit on their porch while rocking in the rocking chairs, and treat yourself to a frozen delight!

PS: (technical note) How do I "follow?" I can't figure it out unless you have a link and "followers" box!

sounds yum! My favorite is Breyers mint chocolate chip! The low fat one is sooo good.

Big fan of ice cream in a mug. I put less in a mug than a bowl, and your hands don't get cold because you get to hold the handle!

I have "followers" but don't have the following block installed on my blog layout, so I think it falls back on your installing it and creating your "followings" (if you will" by importing your Google Reader subscription (it's tied in to having Google Reader).

Cake and ice cream, what could be better?! I usually use the biggest mug I can find and cram it full of IC. Or, just eat straight from the container.

I am originally from Greensboro and love going to Delicous when I visit my parents.

I hope you have a nice week!

I LOVE Dolly's! It's so weird to hear of someone else having gone there...I thought it was only a Brevard thing!
