Movie Review: Death at a Funeral

{Image}

Do you ever watch movies and think "where have I seen that actor before?" I had one of those "Ah Ha" moments while taking a break from the Olympics and watching"Death at a Funeral" last night. Several years ago TBS ran a short summer series called "Daisy Does America" . It was laugh so hard you cry funny. (I would imagine youtube has clips floating around if you missed the quick glimpse of comic genius.) Daisy ran a few episodes before being sadly sent to the television graveyard with many of my favorites.

When I realized that "Daisy" was one of the family members in the movie my attention was immediately hooked. Filled with British wit and dry humor, the movie had its up's and down's. While I strayed from my typical chick flick tatse in movies, I enjoyed the quirky laugh out loud moments Death at a Funeral gave. I give it 4 bird nests out of 5.

This movie is SO funny! It has a good deal of the cast from the Brit series MI:5, which I'm addicted to. As I watched it, I kept seeing familiar faces! I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while! Check out MI:5 on Netflix if you like spy/thriller shows!

This film arrived from Netflix pre-Olympics. We are hoping to watch it this week.
The actress that played "Daisy" in "Daisy Does America" was also in a Britcom called "My Family"-along with the actress that played Mdm. Hooch (Zoe Wanamaker). Daisy Donovan can be very funny. I look forward to the film!
