Sunday wind-down

Sundays are my favorite days. Sunday bring a big news paper to read, church to attend, an occasional brunch, and an afternoon to re-charge your batteries before another work week. The BF and I opted out of church this Sunday to spend some quality time together since our schedules have been so busy lately! We took Pete to Biscuitville for drive-thru breakfast on the way to the farmers market. (FYI the drive through gives out dog bone shaped biscuits just like the one we eat!) Needless to say we had one happy pup!

It was beautiful here today. The farmers market blessed us with some fresh veggies for my kitchen and new flowers and herbs for my pots & hanging baskets! We planted for most of the afternoon and soaked up some rays. It was a nice way to spend the day.

The BF and I are youth group leaders at our church and we closed with a prayer from the New Zealand prayer book tonight. I LOVED it and thought I'd share it this evening. I hope everyone has a nice week!

Lord, it is night. The night is for stillness. Let us be still in the
prescience of God. It is night after a long day. What has been done has been
done: what has not been done has not been done; let it be. The night is dark.
Let our fears of the darkness of the world and of our own lives rest in you. The
night is quiet. Let the quietness of your peace enfold us, all dear to us, and
all who have no peace. The night heralds the dawn. Let us look expectantly to a
new day. New joys, new possibilities. In your name we pray. Amen.

Thank you SO MUCH for that prayer! It was exactly what I needed to hear. I was just starting to freak out over everything that I have to do and reading that brought me a much needed peace! Thank you again! I love it when God graces us with the right words from the right people at the right time:)
Have a blessed week!

What a great thing to do. I was in my church youth group growing up and I simply adored our leaders. What great role models you and BF must be to those kids!!!
